From Office to County Fair: Vectorworks' Family Fun Day

The Employee Experience team recently hosted its annual Family Fun Day at Vectorworks HQ, inviting local and in-office/hybrid employees and their families to come together for an evening of fun and relaxation. The group turned Vectorworks’ office space into its own County Fair, with various games and activities for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s Family Fun Day setup included carnival rides, games and concession stands.

Parents and children alike enjoyed the wide range of activities available at the County Fair-themed event. There was something for everyone, from carnival games to face painting to balloon animals. The event also featured a variety of food options, including classic fair treats like cotton candy and corn dogs.

“I think it’s great when companies can create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where people feel comfortable and happy,” said Rachel Sigwalt, employee experience specialist at Vectorworks. “Whether it's through team-building activities or social events, there are plenty of ways to incorporate fun into the workplace.”

In addition to the fun and games, the Family Fun Day also allowed employees to take a break from their busy schedules and relax with their loved ones. This break from the daily grind is essential for maintaining a healthy work-life balance and ensuring employees feel supported and valued.

“The best part of the Family Fun Day was seeing how happy my children were,” said Alexis Selekof, senior front-end web developer at Vectorworks. “They had a blast playing games, seeing the petting zoo, and enjoying all the concessions. It was so heartwarming to see them having so much fun, and even more convenient that it took place at work.”
